About Zed Foundry
Zed is the last letter of the alphabet. You do not arrive there without passing through everything that came before.
That progression is the founding idea of this firm. Thirty years of building products from conception to market - across cybersecurity platforms, enterprise SaaS, digital marketing, and consumer electronics - represents a spectrum of experience that only accumulates in sequence. Each phase teaches something the previous one could not: why promising strategies fail in execution, why well-built products miss their markets, why the gap between a product roadmap and commercial momentum is wider than it looks from either side.
Foundry names the process. A foundry takes something fluid and gives it form - precise, functional, durable. That is the work: taking ideas that exist as potential and turning them into products and strategies that hold their shape in the market.
Zed Foundry was founded in 2020 by Chris Chevalier and is based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Binary Defense
Senior Product Manager for BD Platform, an MDR and XDR SaaS platform built from zero to 80% customer adoption in year one, and Vision EDR, an agent-based endpoint detection solution across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Lumension Security
Group Product Manager for endpoint security and data protection products deployed on more than two million endpoints globally across enterprise, government, and OT environments including factory floors, nuclear power plants, and water treatment facilities. Products generated $16 million in annual revenue.
iCrossing
Built BrandShadow, an enterprise behavioral data analytics platform, and AreaCodeLocal, a nationwide localized search network monetized through SMB advertising.
Sonic Blue / GoVideo
Technical Director overseeing a $200 million product portfolio, development of the world's first DVD+VCR combination unit, and multiple patent applications.

How We Work
Every engagement is led directly by the principal. Research, analysis, writing, and development are all done in-house, with AI tools embedded throughout to accelerate delivery without reducing rigor.
Zed Foundry works remotely and asynchronously by default, with synchronous collaboration scheduled when it adds clear value. Most clients find this produces faster turnaround and cleaner output than traditional consulting rhythms.
